d16y8 motor install and turbo questions?? plz help
hey wassup guyz im gettin a complete d16y8 swap for my eg soon and was wondering will it work with my eg? wiring harness, mounts, linkage etcetc.. its a 99 d16y8 and its obd2 right? well after i sign off my ticket and smog my car imma turbo it shortly after. just wondering how much psi it can handle. i want to boost 10 psi for high boost and 5 psi for low boost. i have a greddy profec B.. the motor will be completly stock.. will it be reliable? i already have a walbro 255 intank installed. i might go with fmu or blue box. still debating. what do u guyz think? can whoever that have this kit (greddy sohc kit on a stock sohc d16y8 motor) tell me what route they went with fuel management and their experiences. thanks guyz really appreciate it.. i need to put this motor in asap..

I run 12.5 psi on my stock block Z6. This is tuned on Hondata though. If it is tuned, you won't have a problem with 10 psi.
Oh, I would just get a Z6 swap instead. Easier install. my $.02.

i've got a y7 and boost 10psi daily. over almost 11k miles boosted 4k at 10psi. using the hack. i'm looking to build it up and boost to 15psi...will use hondata at that time.
