Default D16Y7 freshly turbo build leaking oil???????????

I had my stock d16y7 running on 7psi.. I got boost hungry and decided to rebuild it with forged internals. Eagle rods, Vitara pistons, bisi 1.2 cam, rebuilt head, and honda gaskets. The machine shop assembled the crank, rods, pistons and head. I done the 30 min break in all went well besides high oil pressure. it was 90 to 100 lbs. Later that day we started it and let it run to see what the oil pressure would do. It went to 90ish then dropped when it warmed up.. The a puddle of oil formed under the car... it was the rear main. Checked the crank and adapter plate and it was all in good shape and we thought it could have been a defective gasket. Replaced it and it still leaks. If anyone has any opinions please chime in.

still leaks from where i'll bet you messed up the gasket when you replaced it.

The rear main seal. Ive put it in twice, the first one with no lube and the second one with lube but we didnt remove the adapter plate the second time. It seems like it doesnt start to leak till it starts to warm up. I felt confident it wouldnt leak this time.

I dont know how it is on the d series but the fsm for a bseries states that there must be a certian amount of gap between the seal and rear plate thing. I dont know how youre installing it but are you just shoving it in till it bottoms out?

Yes we are pushing it all the way to the lip in the adapter plate. Some have said you can put them in too far/not far enough.. Which i feel like it has to go back to the lip because the fly wheels has an inset on it. And is the 90 lb oil pressure anything to worry about with being a fresh rebuild?

I would open up a haynes or factory service manual for the exact specs you should set the rear main to.

I cant help you on the oil pressure deal, the oil pumps relief spring should keep the pressure in check and afaik you want 10psi per 1000rpm or better.
