d16 turbo kit being put on.....need help
alright so here is my set up 1991 EF SI with a d16y7 out of 97 civic (30,000miles)... log crp manifold, homemade intercooler piping, big intercooler, gready BOV, walbro 255, DSM blue tops, a Tdo4 13t volvo turbo (no shaft play) im only trying to run 7-8 lbs
ok so im puting the kit on tomarow i bought an eg half size radiator today and installed it so my turbo has room to be there and installed a traction bar for clearence for the down pipe and ofcourse traction... lol
my questions are......
once i put the kit on will i be able to drive it to the shop for chip and basemap?
i dont have the money to do obd0 to obd1 conversion so can a shop chip and basemap a obd0 PR4 ecu?
will the DSM blue top 450cc injectors work with my obd0 if i make pig tails for them?
im kinnda new to turbos so help me out please...

you can not drive it with the 450 injectors in and not a basemap. stock ecu is for stock injectors. so get a chipped ecu and a basemap then drive to your tuner. and dsm 450's will require a resistor boxs or wire resistors in at the injectors.

It depends on which shop you take it to. You may want to call and ask, I know Xenocron sells the items to chip a obd0 ECU, however not very many tuners use TurboEdit or BRE (OBD0 tuning programs) to make basemaps as OBD1 has more options.
Do not put on the turbo kit, because if you don't have enough money to go from obd0 to obd1, you sure won't have the money to have it tuned. If you run it on a basemap or untuned, your motor will really lack reliability.
As the previous post says, your car will NOT run with 450cc injectors.

OBD0 to OBD1 Dizzy Jumper
OBD0 to OBD1 ECU Jumper
4 wire O2
OBD1 ECU and Distributor.
Just buy a chipped ECU as it will save you money in the long run. As most places include a basemap when you buy a chipped ECU so you can get it to the tuners.
Then go get the car tuned by a reputable tuner.
