Default D16 turbo build sleeved block/pistons

Is this worth the money???, because I don't feel like sending a block off to a company to do the sleeving, and too, I don't have a block anyway! you guys think its worth it? I'm going to totally build this thing so its invincible, of coarse after a good tune. It seems to be worth it too me.

First of all I personally only buy from ebay sellers with 100% feedback.

Second I would never buy something like this from the internet. Its bad enough ordering little things I can only imagine the drama if something went wrong with the block.

Third:

442whp/323tq sohc vtec D16Y8, STOCK SLEEVES.
10.89 @ 132.67mph.
1st Vitara piston'd sohc in the 10's!

It's nice someone did that with stock sleeves, but I will want to have piece of mind when I am done with my engine, that at the end of the day, the sleeves weren't the first thing to go.

Why not source a block locally? I live like an hour and a half from Murfreesboro and I know for a fact there are motors all over man. Might save you some $$.

I'd rather switch to a B-series before sleeving a D. Unless you can get it done very cheaply, a D usually won't make enough power to crack the stock sleeves (when near stock bore), and not worth it IMO. Piece of mind can be priceless to some people though.

Well, right now I have an h22 eg, and I love it, but I'm just getting to the point where I want a fresh start, and I want to do something crazy. I was going to use the cash from the car to build the little d series, so like the other guy said, I will have piece of mind knowing that with 20 psi, I'm not going to crack the sleeves. I'm going to build this thing the right way, and I just want to bring it somewhere locally. I guess that eBay crap wasn't a good idea eh So, do you know anywhere near nashville that will sleeve my block with darton sleeves for around 500-600 dollars?

I vote Stock sleeves..

D series sleeves are strong enough for over 400whp even on a daily driven car...

JFK's car(471whp) has been built for over 1 1/2 yrs with over 400whp on stock sleeves and this car has probably seen over 100 dyno pulls and over 50 track runs in the 11's sec or faster...

Should I sleeve the d16a6, or the d16z6. I'm putting it in an ef, so I dont want to use a y8. Which one would be easy to put in a ef?

Oh yea , what would be the best exhaust manifold and turbo to use if I want to make around 300-350 whp? I was looking at this top mount spa manifold, but it wont fit in an ef unless I hack some stuff up. It's gonna be a daily driver, so I dont want to have to do that.

Ok, so the dude built the motor I was planning on buying???? Anyways, my plans have changed for the 30th time. I found a b18c1 block and crank for 110 bucks, so I'm going to sleeve that instead and make some serious POWER!!!!! I've noticed that all the b18c1 turbo's have a gt30r, it freakin HUGE. I want to get a used on, cuz they are expensive! What manifold would you recommend? There is an awesome ramhorn t3/t4 manifold for a decent price on ebay right now. Will a gt30r fit on this manifold?

I have to ask, why is that manifold on ebay so awesome? Also, its not a ramhorn. If your going to get a NICE manifold you have several choices. Full-Race, SLS, Synapse, and so on. You don't need a 30R thats capable of 500+. You need to research, these questions you've asked have been answered umpteen times. Dats wus up!
