i think u should get larger injectors. the 750s should get you to 400whp but might be over 80% duty
you should get yourself a different turbo imho. a t3/t4 would be a better option and inexpensive. ditch the cast manifold, go tubular with decently long runners. this helps prevent cross contamination - spent exhaust backing into adjacent cylinders.
good luck

Re: D16 journey to 400HP begins!
thanx alot guys, i know i'm pushing this 18G to its limit. but i feel the cam will make up for it. next season i'm going to go with a new manifold and a GT30 or 35 and make some more power. i just want to see what this 18G can really do, i know most guys don't push these to the max. with the money i spent on the build it left my pockets hopeless for a new turbo
what is the downside to running 80% duty cycle on the injectors? i'm very unclear on this.

what PSI do you think will be best?
and also this is only for this year..i drive the car once a week if that much, so figure about 16 sundays this year. then i will be switching to GT30, external, and ramhorn

i would also go t04e, great turbo if your on a budget, theres loads about to for spares etc.
we ran 750`s to ~475hp on our D16, at stock base pressure, if you run 50psi base you will keep that duty a tad lower, as long as the pump can flow what you need at that pressure.
log also worked fine for me at over 400...

^^^ awesome reply man, just the confidence i needed. alot of people knock the 18G and log mani..but i think with my engine build this D16 is gonna have some real potential.
here's some pics guys!! only have shitty cell phone ones now.
how she looked before tear down, made 230whp on just 10PSI with 310cc injectors and 255..STOCK EVERYTHING ELSE.
progress pics..
did a full synchrotech rebuild with carbon sync's
painting and shaving:
intake manifold

Re: D16 journey to 400HP begins!
thats kind of subjective. depends on your goals, rest of the build ect ect. there are lots of turbos that can hit 400hp. it just depends on what you plan to do. if your just DD'ing id say shoot for something smaller as a 400hp D on the streets will be a bitch.

If you can pull that off on the 18g it would be impressive for sure but it's definitely just blowing hot air. Set up looks really clean though. Good luck!
