D16 builds...need feedback, help me out here...look inside
Well guys here's the dilema.. Id like to know your opinions about this so please explain your reasoning . You can bring food to the table so that we can chew as well.
Youre building your D16 for boost and want to throw in some good rods. Your options are either H Beams or I beams.
Price difference between the 2 is not really significant(maybe 15-25 bucks...maybe the same price no matter if its "H" Or "I" beam)
With "H" beams you have to notch your D16 block
With "I" beams you dont have to Notch
Both Rods will support plenty horsepower, way more that you would probably reach with your d16 build.
What would you get?
Would you say that paying the extra 15-25 bucks for I beams is worth VS going thru all the work of notching the block yourself or paying someone else to do it?
Lets say youre building for 500-550whp

i hated having to notch the block for H beams. it would be nice to find a set of rods that you dont need to notch the expletive out of the girdle though.
