Default D16 + 100shot = Q?

Hi guys ... I know this question has been asked to death, I've searched and have had NO LUCK!

Q - Can stock SOHC Vtec (99ex) internals take a 100 shot thru a Zex Dry kit (Assuming perfect compression check)? In not, what would you guys recommend to make it built proof?

I will be squeezing occasionally (like 2-3x a month) .. and I want to do a 100 shot. I will have : I/H/E, Pulleys, 255 FP, FPR, VAFC, Stage2 Clutch, Lighten Flywheel, Colder Plugs, Retarded Timing, etc

Q - What other mods do I need?

Thank you for your patiences

dry 100 = kaboom.

wet direct port 80 shot =

recommendations:
-build the block -rods/pistons sleeves.
-lots of tuning
-upgraded fuel delivery - pump, injectors, regulator
-colder plugs
-super duper clutch
-extra money for axles
-slicks

dont even attempt doing it dry shot, not saying that it cant be done, just that u wont be able to do it for a long time,

if you plan to spray that much nitrous then might as well put in the time to go direct port wet, also a progressive controller is something nice to have.......

as for stock internals, im not sure how long they will last but , after lets say your first 2 motors, you might want to beef them up, especially those rods

Get new pistons and rods and spray an 80 shot direct port or get a wet kit and spray 75. Or you can keep the stock internals and jus spray a 50 wet shot. You might be able to get away with a 75 wet shot on the stock internals for a while but i wouldnt recommend it.

sorry im the first one to say this but go turbo. u will thank me later.

if u choose to go nitrous, 80 shot wet ??is the max, and if u do that, get standalone fuel management.
good luck

I did 90 shot (custom drilled jets) with a zex kit on my 1993 d16. The motor had 175,000 miles and the only thing that happened to it was it burnt an exhaust valve. Now the motor is fixed and running in my freinds car with a turbo.

Wrong, wrong, and wrong. Dry 100 shot does NOT = kaboom. How far does this ridiculous Honda-Tech myth have to go? I would not attempt it on a stock internal D Series, but a built one is no problem. I have done it, gitwidit has done it, and Zex Man has run up to a 200 shot dry for an entire season on his D16 race car. With proper fuel management, tuning, and nozzle placement, it is perfectly safe.

To answer the topic question. Don't go over a 75 shot on a stock internalled D Series. The injectors will also be maxed out at that level.
