d15b FI plugs
I have been researching for some time now and I can find sprak plug info on the colder plugs but not sure if they are right for my setup
I have a JDM d15b running a 14b on 8psi.
Which plugs should I use?
Seems like bkr7e's are good but then i see they foul out easily on street cars. should i go with bkr6e's and maybe change to the bkr7e's at the track.
I also have seen some say use the NGk R5671A's.
Any help with plugs for my setup would be fantistic.

Myself and as well as many others, use bkr7e's and have never had an issue with them fouling out due to street driving. where did you hear that from, hearsay?
If plugs are fouling out b/c of street driving there are other issues. It'd obviously due to the engine running too rich or possibly too cold of a plug for the setup or incorrect gapping (there are two different bkr7e's and one is pregapped, the other is not). You want to run as small of a gap as you can before you begin to detonate, stock is around 40-anywhere around 30ish is normally fine. I would think on any tuned setup there wouldn't be an issue with this.
On a side note, from my understanding bkr7e's are the factory replacement plugs for some bmw motorcycle...and I've never heard of them having issues with them fouling out, if they did i'm sure they'd use a better/different plug

Hmmm that's weird...
I mean, if you're running a high performance engine, stuff isn't going to last as long. I change my plugs every other oil change. So i suppose if you attempt to keep them in as long as you would on a stock engine they could foul out. Also, after you have your car tuned or take it to the track or if your run it on a base map for any extended period of time, it takes a lot of life away from any plugs.
But you just gotta remember-reliablity,money,speed-you can only have two. If it means speending an extra $7 every 7,000miles on new plugs to have a reliable and fast car, expletive it. the plugs have been proven time and time again. my engine never detonates and i get ~27mpg with them.

The only time you'll be fouling 7's out on even a lower-power stock D16 is if you're burning way too much oil, dumping way too much fuel (all the time), or driving like a *****
WIth colder plugs, you need to hammer on it once in a while to burn the **** off of them. They need to get up to their self-cleaning temp.

i had a freind that had a stock LS DA, and he drove like a bitch ALL the time, and I always thought that the car runs like **** because he never beats it, and the plugs are exactly why.

THIS , is the answer...
if you are fouling BKr7E, get the 6's, your not up in boost enough, and too low on the " beat the living **** out of it " level...

Well I tend to shift around 7k all the time anyways atleast 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
I guess im just a ricer like that. LoL(no my car is not riced out)
So yeah i tend to beat the **** out of it. Ive blowing over 4 motors and 2 trannys in multiple cars in year and half, so I dont exactly take it easy.
therefore I think i can handle getting the 7s in there temp range
