D-series Tubrbo CT26 setup ??
i plan on using a ct26 from a mk3 supra....the thing is its water cooled and oil cooled....is it ok to plumb the water cooling into one of the drain plugs ?? or is there another place thats better to use ??
my setup so far will be a d16a6 with a delsol sohc trans....
the build is mostly stock except for arp head studs....and cometic headgasket with a y8 intake mani and some mild porting....anyone know how much power i can extract with this setup and proper tunning ?? i keep seeing all these 250 who + stock d-series and wanted to know if this CT is capable of producing similiar number ??

The question you might want to draw parallel to "How much can I draw out?" is, "How long will it last?"
Stock motors wont last long at high HP numbers. That's about all there is to it. The CT26 acts like a large T3 fro mwhat I've read.

or a small t4... 40ish trim.
250 is doeable at 15-17psi. did 215 @ 9psi on a stock dohc ZC. loved it. lasted over a year of daily driving and never broke.
if you need an hf mani adapter hit me up.

the ct26 is one of the worst turbo's ever! look at the power band of a mr2. its a 2 litre motor...it spools very late....and runs out of breath at like 5500 rpm.
how does that thing compare to a t25? i know the t25 spools much faster.

if you would read the information properly this CT26 is not out of an mr2 its out of an mk3 supra....there are something like 3-4 variations ofthe ct26......but thats not the points thanx for the info on it being able to put out the 250whp im hopping for.......also when u were making 215whp how hard were u driving the car ?? i only plan on running it hard on the weekends if that......canadian winters last fairly long........also any thoughts on running the water lines ?? i was told i could block off these coolant passages and id be fun just using the oil lines as long as i threw in an oil cooler ??? any truth to this ??

ive never had any problems with them......im just curious on running the water coolant lines.......couple of my friends have mk3's one is running 18psi with meth. injection and it pulls very hard spool kicks in nicely at 2500 rpm but it seems to fall on its face at 6500 rpm....

15 psi is where th CT is maxed out . I really hate that turbo losing in a Supra hurts.

not sure about plubming it back into the drain line, i don't know that it would actually circulate... depends on where you get it from. I just ran two lines, tee'd into my lines for my heater core... worked great. I'm gonna x out my heater, as i've decided not to drive once winter gets close here, sick of all the salt and crap.... cleaning it for one last time You shouldn't need the coolant lines, but it should help you, and since its not hard to hook them up, i would do it. Also, run an oil cooler anyways

You will have to run a higher PSI than a 3.0L Supra just because your engine is a 1.6L I forgot to add. Try uber data or something like that if you want to tune yourself.

Plumbing it into the plugs might work just fine. I have to investigate this myself. I was thinking about making "adapters" on the radiator inlet and outlet that would allow me to tee off a water line to the turbo.
Sounds like your setup should be gnarly, one way or another

240whp would be more like 15 psi. 9psi netted around 215whp+.
we didn't bother with the water lines... ran it dry without problems. done right the water cooling would be good, but use hardlines to avoid coolant leak issues down the road.
