On moroso's website they have in small letters at the bottom... 1992-95 Civic EX & Si, 1988-92 all Civic/CRX Si Use Pickup No 24017.....So i guess that means your supposed to use theres but doesnt say if its 100% required

Re: (jetpilot)
I wish I could speak from some vast degree of moroso experience, but lets quickly evaluate the pros and cons of going stock vs moroso's
(stock oil p/u) pros: save a little $, and a little time
cons: if you starve your engine of oil then you will be out a lot more money and a lot more time.
I cant tell you what to do, but I definitely know which way I would go...
...of course with a d series block at least it's not as expensive to replace as a b series, but still a lot more effort to rebuild/replace a block than an oil pick up!
good luck either way

I have the pan and the pick-up from Moroso on my car... I dont think that the stock one will fit ... the Moroso oil pick-up is designed sligthly different .... Dont mess with that... oh and he is bigger and pick the oil lower in the pan ...
Btw you will have to cut something on the rack who clamp on the crank ... I searched like 3 hours to see what was wrong... and also near of the oil pump it will probably be tight ..I had to gring to make it fit right !!!
Proud to save you like 4 hours loll

Could you please elaborate a bit more, What exactly do I have to do to make the pan fit? What is the rack who clamp the crank, is it the crank girdle? What do you mean by tight by the oil pan? thanks a lot for your reply
