cant you just hold the d series mani, below the b series ports and see how far off they are? instead of redrilling if you dont have to? why waste a good manifold?

Re: D series mani on B series (2.2Lcivic)
i bought a gasket to use as a template to see how off they are
basically to the ones who have D series mani's on their B series are you using all the studs?

its diff. listen to 2.2Lcivic.
my friend had a SFP manifold that was made for a d-series, but he was a dohc. so we had to sell it. the flang was diff, but it looked like the piping from the mainfold was the same. it makes me wonder, was the manifold originally for a b series, but instaed SFP welded on a b series flang just for the hell of it?

looks like you wont get to use the bottom left or the bottom right studs.
i think this would make it more prone to leaking.
if you are having trouble selling you sohc mani, buy a dohc, as soon as you do this itll sell..... its murphys law..

well you arent going to find anyone in here that has done that because:
1. it wont work you can not do that, the ports do not line up as others have stated before.
2. it is just plain stupid. use the right parts for the right applications.
if your too broke to afford the right parts then either make more money and get the right parts or just quit and give up.
other wise next week you will be one of those peopel coming on here posting saying you blew your motor and you cant figure out why. all because you are trying to cheap out on parts.
we understand that you have the wrong mani and thats all thats holding you back but get the right parts man.
