Maybe he didn't torque them enough or maybe there is another problem.
20k miles on my stock d16z6 @ ~.7 +-.03 bar w/o a hitch.

I am the one with the problem.....it was fine at 7 pounds then started boosting 11 psi and it started filling up may over flow bottle.... the head bolts have been in and out three times so do you think that is most likely my problem....im gonna run copper spray and a z6 head gasket this time.... will this solve the problem???

im using stock bolts for second time
i boost 10 psi daily and its all good for 4k miles
get ARP studs and be done.. dont use the copper spray.. do it right... unless u dont resurface anything, then yes use the spray

I had the same problem , head bolts in and out about 6 times. got some arp head studs and new y8 head gasket, torque them to 65 ft/lbs. then retorque after 100 miles or so. your chances will be 100 times better with the arps (best 100.00 Ive spent .)

I have been running 11 psi from a 50trim t3 on my stock Z6 for 18,000 miles. 0 coolant/HG problems. The head has never been off in 152,000 miles. I have a set of arp studs ready for my new block however. i would never try to use stock bolts on a motor that I had taken the head off.
they are cheap here-

ARP headstuds are $85 shipped for God's sake.
Buddy I know changed out his blown HG with stock HG and stock headbolts, and a few K later, he had the same problem. ARP's solved it, solved my problem too *knock on wood*
