Default Custom B20B head gasket for turbo

I had a custom head gasket made for my B20B - this one is 2mm thick, and will drop my C/R to about 8.5:1 with stock B20B pistons and rods

does it look okay, construction-wise? the shop I had it done at is the same shop that makes custom head gaskets for JUN Thailand. I used their headgaskets in my D16Y8 turbo too, seemed to hold up great. Never blown one up.

tHE word worried doesn't even begin to describe the amount of fear contained within me from boosting this engine on stock internals!

EDIT: typo

Yes, its got the Link standalone ECU with an A/F Lambda meter and Knock meter. People here are saying that B20B engines are sensitive to detonation, so I guess i'll know about it first with the things I have, before something goes wrong. I hope..

I got it made at a shop over here in Thailand. Top quality construction, custom-made, any thickness you desire for any engine.. whether it be a D or B series (or any other manufacturer for that matter).

Do I sense that people are having interest in purchasing head gaskets from me now?

It should have dropped it from ~9.2:1 to ~8.5:1

People here are saying that B20B engines are sensitive to detonation.
..might be because of the mismatch of head chamber 81mm & cylinder 84mm. I still have this theory that any long stroke motor is "edgy" and sensitive to detonation.

I hear ya - I'm running a B20B in my GSR ever since my 18C got destroyed and now I'm getting more and more nervous, but I figure with a standalone and decent tuning I should be OK, particularly since i'm not running any more than 8-9 psi. Does make me want to go out and double-check that my base timing is still setup correctly with the AEM ecu.

Nathan should relax and take it easy , he boosed a D series like crazy every day when the D series sleeves are good up to 20 psi supposely and you took it waaay beyond that. you should not be worried of the b20

It was a *little* bit cheaper than a new cometic headgasket. I could make them for you guys if you wanted them, but once you add shipping costs, i'm sure you'd be better off just getting a cometic headgasket locally

My B18C head has already been matched to the 84mm cylinder in order to drop the compression even further.
