Cursed by iiillgsrlll
A few days ago I made a post about a filter setup, I said that I run 2 screens with a piece of K&N filter cloth sanwiched in between. iiillgsrlll replied that he tried this and the car wouldn't boost past 4psi.
Well, last night went for a ride and sure enough, it wasn't boosting past 3-4psi and the w/g spring is around 6psi.
I'm gonna try taking out the cloth and doing a proper filter setup, hopefully this solves the issue or I gotta look elsewhere.
So if anybody is having the same problem this might be something to look at...
I really don't feel like messing with the charge piping, **** better work

Re: Cursed by iiillgsrlll (Boosted2K)
just run no filter for a little bit. It will probably rip. The setup you have is horribly restrictive. For some reason I have seen several people on here with the same thing. surface area is king when you are trying to make a low restriction filter and you have about that same SA as a valve cover breather filter. you woulden't put that on your turbo would you?
I had a 6" cone on my car and it got so dirty that i was losing 3 psi from 5k up. I took it off and all was well.
