Curious about numbers, gsr, gt30
I looked around for a while and couldn't find an exact answer to my question so here its goes.
GSR
Eagle rods
Cp 9.0:1 pistons
ARP rod bolts, head studs and flywheel bolts
Hondata I/m gasket
Victor X intake mani
rc 550 injectors
255 fuel pump
Most likely skunk2 pro1 cams
I have precisions version of the garrett gt3076rle
But a .60a/r
unsure of the trim
will be going with a .63 hotside
spoolin quick 4 manifold
turbosmart bov and waste gate
3inch dp to thermal r&d three inch exhaust
15lbs max
Looking for 8-10 daily
Ive looked at similar setups and this set up should be capable of high 300's or even low 400's on 93 octane
Just curious to if anyone is running a set up like this and what numbers they are making.
Thank you

check out the evans tuning duno library, im sure you can find plenty of dynos with very similar setups. injectors are going to run about before you reach your setup's limits.
mine is very similar except lsvtec, stock gsr cams, regular garrett gt30r .63ar hotside. 381whp at 14psi

Re: Curious about numbers, gsr, gt30
What size injectors are you running then?
I really haven't researched injectors all that much
But I don't want to have them be to big for my application and just dump fuel into the chamber instead of atomize it.
And Ive been on evans tuning like 100 times and didn't even think of that for some reason haha thanks!

1000cc injectors and they idle and drive perfect on hondata s300 so don't afraid to go bigger than need. 550s are only going to get you 300-325who safely and your setup can easily handle 400. Also I don't think the pro1 are necessary. Stock or itr should do just fine

Do a little research in their dyno library. You'll find a few setups close to what you have. Also, i didnt really read the thead well and maybe you covered this, but your injectors are too small to make much over 350whp. You may want to re-evaluate your choice. I would go with 880s or 1000s

Re: Curious about numbers, gsr, gt30
yea dpetro1 informed me on my injector size and I frequent the forums as a guest on evans tuning but for some reason was unaware of the dyno library but I did lurk a few pages today and bookmarked a few close set ups
Thanks for the help guys!
and dpetro what cycle duty were your injectors running at?

Re: Curious about numbers, gsr, gt30
I made 305 whp on a dyno dynamics with 81.5 gsr, gt30r, drag cast Manifold, stock gsr cams, 2.5 down pipe and 2.25 exhaust!!!!!
High 300's shouldn't be a problem.

Re: Curious about numbers, gsr, gt30
I mean I know you don't want to run 100% duty cycle but using only half of the 1000s seems a little idk to big for the application? I could run the 880's at around 80 percent and still achieve the same amount of fuel? or am I just running blindly into left field haha

I've been running the 30r on a 84mm gsr for almost 3 years now. I've got a full-race ramhorn, .82 hotside on a true garrett. It made 360whp @ 10psi, 435whp @ 17psi (93oct), 530whp @ 24psi (110oct, spike to 27-28 falls to 24 by redline).
I run RC 1000cc's but i'd probably jump on the bosch bandwagon if I was putting this together again.
Ditch the pro1s and pickup a set of skunk2 tuner1s. Jeff Evans says from his experience the pro1s are to big unless you are running a GT35R or bigger. The numbers I posted were on ITR cams but i've got some tuner1s just waiting to be installed.
Here are some guys that ran similar setups in the past. I really use to look over there setups back when I was putting mine together. mikes01gsr, jdmvtec28, dontblink
Mike@synapse motorsports also made good numbers on his setup. Can't forget about Andrea's car over at Evans tuning. It made some pretty crazy numbers on their dyno with the 30r. They did some 35/30r back to back comparisons if I remember.
There are a lot of honda guys running the 30r. It's a great choice for a street/strip car.

I kind of want boost a little sooner because right Now I just have a stock y8 with a t3/t4 .50 a/r .57 trim and it take a little bit to hit full boost and its only 6lbs
I understand output of motor and gearing etc has a lot to do with it
But if I could do it again I would slap on a t3 .42/.48 and have more fun on the street but I think the 30r or whatever the precision numbering would be will work great
Any reason why bosch is better then the RC's?
And I was reading about the tuner1 over the pro1 on evans tuning
that the turbo cam would actually drop off on power towards the top end I believe
And I will check out the other users and andrea's car as well
thanks man super helpful
Thank you
