CTR/GSR/ITR cam's with stock B16A1 valvetrain?!
Hi,
is there anyone running CTR/ITR or GSR cams on a stock B16A1 valvetrain?
or is an upgrade to itr valve springs compellingly necessary?
Thanks

u know, when ever i drive chipped b16's, I always end up turning them to 8500
So aslong as its in good health, i think it should be all right, but people say buy upgraded springs and retainers.

get the upgraded springs and retainers.
The ctr/itr cams have a higher lift so they need more seat pressure or something of that nature. If you run the b16 springs your liable to get valve float. GSR cams will be fine on the b16 springs tho

Re: (turbotime)
My boy just floated four valves with ctr cams on a stock b16 head. I say get the piece of mind (valvetrain) or take it to the redline of the stock b16 head.
