Crower's Econo Rods And Turbo Set Up
Has anyone tried these? I know i should just step up and get the ones that can handle more power but $$$ is an issue. Heres the set up.
91 CRX (2200lbs!)
JDM B20B
Wiesco Pistions 9.8 CR 2.2 ltr bore. 95mm I think? someone correct me plz!
Crower Econo Rods
Block Guard (help relieve pressure from sleeves) How much does this cost? How much do GE sleeves cost?
then I start boosting more then I need traction help and possibly axles that
can handle the power. What are your thoughts on this?
Prolly boost to 20psi w/ T3/T04E 60 TRIM w/.63 A/R turbine.
I also be going with some 550cc or bigger injectors and ZDYNE.
Any other suggestions? Keep in mind that this will be a daily driver.
If I can't do this and boost to 20psi w/race gas then I prolly will just stick w/ the stock pistons/rods until something goes wrong and she dies.
thanks

Re: Crower's Econo Rods And Turbo Set Up (simple4012)
You probably wont have too much sleeve left if you bore it to 95mm...
I think your are refering to the eagle 95mm crank since your talking about 2.2 liter...
I suggest no bigger that 84.5mm (~1996cc, 2.0 liter) pistons with the b20 sleeves, they are still not very stong sleeves so BE CAREFUL!!!

After reading your post, I respectfully suggest you install a b18c and be done with it. If you boost a 85mm b20, you better fill the block with cement to support the sleeves.

I may be wrong but i think the crower econo rods are really made by eagle and just inspected by crower. dont shoot me if I'm wrong but thats what i was told by a reliable source.

Crower sell em but does not recommend em. if you are short on cashn then wait a while. DO it right the first time or your might spend twice as much for repairs.

unless the b20 is sleeved, you might as well stay stock bore and have fun, no power adders. I tried spraying the b20 that is in my rex. Last year I went 11.3 one pass the next pass my catch can caugth on fire when all 4 sleeves decided to do the splits literaly.Car ran great all motor, as soon a s I got greedy, it bit me. B20's dont like boost unless sleeved. Jason
