Make sure your port settings and baud rates are the same between the software and the device manager. Im using the PGMFI OBD1 for datalogging with a regular TTL to RS232 adapter then a radioshack USB to serial cable. You also might want too make sure that your emulator is uploading the full map. Also make sure your port settings and baud rates are the same for the emulator if your using one. I use the Moates Osterich for CROME. Make sure the batteries didnt come loose on the unit. Ive had that happen a few times and it screwed things up. If that doesnt work post and ill try and response with a few other things it might be.

thank guy.
using an INTRONICS pocket romulator
all the settings match up. i thought for sure that would fix it.
but they were the same from the start.
pgmfi obd1 data logging as well. small grey shielded cable from ecu to little balck moates box then to usb to comp

i dont know if USB ports are like this, but I know serial ports are...there are only a limited amount of connections it can make before you need to restart the computer for it to conect again. try it if you havent restarted yet.

also when i click live tuning it says cannot connect to the ecu.
most likely due to the same problem. it sucks!

Are you using a emulator? If so I will probably guaranteed its not uploading the map. You have to have a make uploaded that has datalogging enabled for it too work. if your map isnt uploading then thats your problem. Also try restarting the computer. Windows is a PITA sometimes.

yes. comp restarted.
earlier the when i would click put it would load up. when i clicked verify. it would verify.
now its not verifying. even after restart.
also something else thats seems odd. the red jumper on j1. if i remove it. car starts. reinstall the jumper and teh car will start.. but drowns in gas.. even without a chip or the romulator hooked up.
its freakin werid? now i have a headache

okay. got the romulator working again. guess it has to do with which map youo load to it?
still no data logging even on maps that verify with data logging added

Re: crome wont connect data logging. car on dyno right now (Trailz-EX)
I talked to Chris about this last week over at Xenocron who sold me my tuning kit.
He said the Test Connection button doesn't exactly work, for example i got everything running smooth but when i try that button i get an error message as well. Probably a bug they gotta patch. Simply click on Live-Tuning and see what happens.
Also make sure you use the plug-ins Remove Checksum and Add (something...) datalogger, send that to your ECU and try again.
If all else fails, start shuffling around your ports, it seems the datalogging cable can be a bit picky at times.
