crankcase ventilation idea (oil filler cap)
i just got this idea, lemme know what you think. first off, everyone has seen the modded valve covers with hoses to catch cans right? now instead of drilling and tapping the valve cover, what if you did so to the oil filler cap? then you could run a hose from the fitting on the oil filler cap to a catch can. only benefit i see is that you would save time and money by not pulling the valve cover off and replacing the valve cover gasket. and if you ever want to go back to stock, all you have to do is get another oil filler cap. so what do you think? lemme know, if it is a legitimate idea with no problems, i might try it this winter.

Z10 makes an oil cap breather adapter like you've described:

Part # Z10-6012
It is better than tapping your stock oil cap... The Z10 uses a banjo type connection which acts as a baffle to prevent large amounts of oil from getting blown out the breather. If you tapped the stock oil cap and threaded on a fitting, there will be no baffling.
