Default Crack in Exhaust Housing

The 14B turbo I just bought has a decent sized crack going through the wastegate flapper port. I was wondering if a t25 exhaust housing could be used with the wheel out of the 14b? The 14b is in perfect shape with no shaft play, its just that damned crack has me worried.

from http://www.vfaq.com/mods/porting-turbo.html
This is a look at the wastegate hole. Note all the nice cracks - ALL stock TD05s will end up with at least 2 of the 3 mine has, due to the design of the turbo. They crack at the thinnest point of the seat, where the air exits to the O2 housing. I enlarged the opening a good bit. Just make sure to leave the hole small enough for the wastegate flapper to seal.

heres mine

and no, dont jbweld it =P

So it will be ok? Mine just has one decent sized crack. I was just wondering because I could get one off ebay for like 5 bucks right now.

Yes. Just as long as the cracks aren't all the way through, and let puffs of exhaust into your engine bay.

Cool, this makes me feel a lot better about getting that 14B for $100 and not getting totally ripped on it.
