Default Couple Questions Re New Turbo Install

Ok, I have a Delta Wastegate with a 7psi spring. Unfortuntely, it's spiking to about 12psi. Is this thing done for? Should I just dump it and buy a TiAL wastegate?

On the way to the dyno, the car overheated. I limped it there, let it cool off. Dyno'd with the damn boost spike. Start to drive home... overheated again. I pulled the rad. cap to see it was damn near bone dry. Filled it up with some coolant, left the cap off for about 2 minutes while it idled. Packed everything up and went on my way. Now randomly and occasionally the needle just starts to peg towards Hot. The temp needle will vary anywhere from 3/8 up (normal), to 1/2 (semi-normal), to 5/8 (ok, she's running warm) and then 7/8 (she's a hot ****). Any help appreciated in this matter.

So, I haven't been able to redline the car yet since I hit 7psi at like 3,500 RPM's so by then I have to shift because the wastegate is stupid.

185whp and 190wtrq on the Prelude b20a.

Is it smoking white? Is there pressure in the rad. hoses? Id check for signs of headgasket problems first then deal with the spiking. Also the spiking maybe the deltagate. What manifold?

No smoking at all from what I can tell. The headgasket from what I can best tell is fine -- the oil didn't have any milky content in it (no signs of coolant and oil mixing), and a buddy following me said he saw no smoke coming out of my exhaust.

It is a custom log shorty manifold.

There could still be air bubbles in the coolant, that or thermostat. My guess anyways.

Any idea on removing the air? Should I leave the cap off for a longer period of time? How would I bleed air from the thermostat?

Also question: I was thinking about testing my wastegate with my air compressor. Any tips/hints on doing this? I was just thinking taking an air blower attachment to the vacuum line that goes to the WG, and seeing what happens.
