will i just noticed my 1st 2 problems. well more questions.
1- the way i want to mount this. the turbo will have the oil inlet on the bottom and the outlet on the top. im guessing not good. can i just unbolt it and rotate it on the exhaust housing so if faces the right way.
also this turbo has water cooling jackets. will it hurt the turbo if i dont hook them up. also i have heard mixed views on if this is better or not. what you think

I don't mean to jack your thread but I got some toys today too from the UPS guy. Can't wait for my Sidewinder Manifold from Cody
As for the turbo, you can loosen up the bolts and rotate the center cartridge so that the oil inlet is up and oil outlet is down.
On my other Garrett turbo, I didn't connect the water lines. You do not need to connect the water lines but if you want your turbo to run cooler, you can Just more hassle.

yea just loosen the bolts a little and turn the compressor or turbine, or both...as far as the water jacket, no idea

The primary practical advantage of watercooled center sections is to eliminate the need for a turbo timer. The added mass of the water jacket and lines will prevent cokeing the oil inside the turbo. Without the water cooling (which is a fine setup too)it is a good idea to let it idle for a half minute or so. That is what i have read about water cooling turbos in respect to turbo kits and upgrades.

so in other words, if you know how to treat a turbo car. then you should be fine with out hooking up the coolant lines.
