couldn't find it in the search.. JRSC with auto tranny bad?
I'm planing to get a supercharger for my auto.. I heard that after about 6 months with the super charger while boosting about 6psi that the auto tranny will go bad? Anybody with experience or info on this.

No it's not bad. There is one in the central NC area along with one on nitrous. Niether having problems, but being slow...
With stock times in the upper 16 second range, don't expect to break into 14s unless another $3000 is going to be spent. The auto is .8 seconds slower than the 5 speed. One thing that will be nice is 1st gear is soooo tall that you won't have traction problems, but the tall ratio gears and heavier turning parts in the tranny will slow you down. You will be very consistent, but not a record breaker. The gearing would be perfect for a 400hp set up. Your first gear is half way between my 1st and 2nd and almost equal to a Japan spec Civic type R second gear. Your gearing drops your RPMs 1000rpm lower at the beginning of each gear than a 5 speed.
For more info on these kits see my post under JRSC.
Good luck.

I know this link isnt about a jrsc but heres a greddy turbo kit on an auto that ran a 14.9, and ive also seen someone post a 14.3 . My wifes car is an auto and runs an apexi turbo kit at 7 psi and has been very reliable, with no tranny problems, and ive been running it for about a year.
