Could this be a Hondata issue?
 

Installed a Hondata S200b with dataloging. After the installation everything works fine with the exception of no speedometer, no VTEC, no back up lights and the radiator fan is not coming on. Didn't have this problem before installing the Hondata. I checked all sensor connections, fuses, relays and ground connections and can't fix the problem.

Please note that when dataloging with the Hondata i do get speed readings on my laptop.

Can this be a Hondata issue? If not, any suggestions as to why should i check next.

The car is a 99 Civic Si with a JRSC and a P28 using an adapter harness.

I would say check fuses first. That seems to be too many non related things to be the Hondata.

As stated above, already checked all fuses, relays, ground and sensor connections. Even check for continuity between the ECU and this 4 sensors. Only reason i'm wondering if it can be a Hondata issue it's because the problem started after installing the Hondata.

stick another ecu in there and see if it goes away, prefebly a obd1 ecu, so you can see if its your harness

Ah, sorry I didnt see that you had checked all of that stuff first. It would seem Hondata related as the problems started when you put it in. Pull it back out and see if your problems stop.

before installing the Hondata i was using another P28 ecu with a skunk2 program and the same adapter harness i'm currently using and didn't have this problem.

Hmm...so then it seems like it HAS to be a conflict with the Hondata. Don't know how to help though, I don't seem to know very much about Hondata

I doubt it's hondata related issue, check your harness.

Then try putting another obd1 ecu on and see if that works. Try to narrow down the problem one item at a time.

AS stated above, already hooked up another P28 with the same adapter harness i'm currently using and everything works fine. I've been using this harness for over 2 years.

could you have possibly shorted out something inside the ecu when you soldered the honda chip and what not in?

Back up lights and shit arent controled by the ECU. You'd be surprised how much stuff doesnt involve the ECU.

I guess that can be a possibility, however, the ECU was soldered by Hondata.

A friend of mine is going to send me another stock ECU to see what happens...

True, the reason i'm wondering about this possiblity is because the problem started after installing the Hondata. I tried a stock ECU already and everything works fine. I should be able to try another stock ECU in a few days to see what happens...
