Cost to rebuild a factory turbo...?
My step-dad is thinking about having his turbo off his 1990 Talon TSi AWD overhauled. How much should that cost? Is it worth it? Ive been trying to convince him to just get a new larger turbo, but he's not really going for it. Are there larger turbos out there that will bolt in place of his dinky factory unit? Thanks guys,

http://www.dsmtalk.com will give you a lot more detail than I'm about to...go check it out. You can get it rebuilt for about $300, but if you can do it yourself it's almost nothing. A new mitsu turbo, a 16G from A Lancer EVO, will bolt on and runs from $400-600. Check out http://www.extrememotorsports.com and http://www.bushurracing.com too!
