Cooling Fan staying on. . . 97 dc2
Why is my cooling fan staying on? Even after I turn off the car, and even when its not warmed up. I put the fuse back and the fan turns right on.
I have:
14" mr gasket slim pusher
One end grounded directly to the chassis
Other end (+) goes to the positive end of the connector from the OEM fan...
It started doing this last nite, has never done it before. I pulled the fuse last nite, put it back in and it worked fine. Kicked on and off like normal, then it started happening again. Now this morning it's on when I put the fuse back in. Help me!!!
Where is the cooling fan control switch or box? Fuse is good, ground by thermostat housing is still intact.....Ground by rad support, where the relay is connected looks good too......
Ughh!

Radiator fan switch? How can I tell if it's bad?
Is there any other control for the fan besides the switch, like a timer or anything?

i never had any probs with mine. I cut the stock plugs off and just spliced my aftermarket fans directly into those.
I dont get why it would just start now?

Thats what I was hopin, but I just unplugged the fan switch and put the fuse back in, and it was still on. . . How the **** is that possible? Unless I unplugged the wrong thing...
I unplugged the grey connector on the back of the thermostat hosing, which has two wires leading into it. . .
Ughh, so right now I have to drive with no fan. . . .(don't worry, I'm not letting it sit w/e moving for any period of time)

Yea, only thing I have different is that the negative side is grounded right to the vehical, not to the harness.

Alright, so:
-Key is not even in the ignition
-Car is cold, been off for 20 minutes
-Re-wired the ground from the fan directly to the harness, so now the fan is hooked up just like the stock fan
-Replace the fuse, and the fan kicks on.....does not turn off.....
Again, unplugged the fan switch while the fuse is still in, and the fan remains on....****** wierddd! What else is there besides the switch, a timer? Relay? (I don't see how the relay could make it stay on all the time)
