Complete oil return line set up kits for sale.
Ive been kicking around the idea of making some complete oil return kits, maybe oil sending, with correct thread sizes. I would use all earls fittings and stainless steel lines already assembled. The only thing you would have to do is get someone to weld the steel fitting onto the oil pan and everything would bolt up.
Anyone interested??

This sounds like a good idea Art. That way when all the newbies post questions on feed/return oil lines. We can simply say, hit up Art he can take care of you for X amount of dollars!
Truthfully, I thought about this too. The feed lines are already out there for the do it yourself LS/VTEC conversion people. Think I saw them at jdmhondaparts.com and inline4.com. Somewhere around 80 or 90 just for the line and fitting on that line, no T or anything.

I would buy one too, no telling when that crap hose is going to bust and dump oil all over.
How will it connect to the brass(?) oil return fitting already on the turbo. Do you have some kind of threaded fitting that goes in place of it or something?

The real difficulty will be getting the right length for different applications and telling people EXACTLY where to tap the oil pan. I put my tapped pan on and then had to measure out the proper line length

i am pretty sure art will charge around 50-60 bucks no doubt. The cost of damn fittings is what makes the whole thing expensive. Its not the actual line.

Re: Complete oil return line set up kits for sale. (b18bturbo)
I just went to a local fitting shop and even with my shop discount I paid $92.40. Thats for 2 45 degree swivel fittings, 7" for ss hose, the fitting for the turbo (1/2"), and for the weldable fitting into the oil pan. I thought it was a little high but they had it in stock. I bought 2 extra if anyone needs a setup now before Art gets setup. My question is does it matter where I tap the oil pan as long as its above the oil level? When I was in there waiting I saw all kinds of thinks i want to buy. I would love to do all my water and vaccum lines in SS also but I bet that would cost 1500.

Re: Complete oil return line set up kits for sale. (jdmciviceg)
Thanks for the reply everyone. All these suggestions I have thought of already, but I need to find someone that will sell it to me wholesale since Im not a Earls "dealer".
Phantom- One thing I have thought of was to sell it half way complete with about 1' of line with all fittings. The reason for this is because there is a difference in the length between the B16 and B18B/C.
Somethig like this could or would be offered:
As for price, thats where things get complicated because Earls fittings are not cheap. As a reference I'll give you a run down what Bakerprecision.com charges for their prices:
- 1' stainless steel -10 line $5.79
- (if needed) oil drain flange $14 for billet, $7 for cast.
- 1/2 to -10an fitting $4.85
- (2) 45 DEG. BENT TUBE Swivel-Seal Hose Ends $23.39 or
- 5/8" or -10 steel weld fitting $4.00
So this comes out to $62.02 with out the oil drain flange and shipping.
I havent decided what Im going to do because this might take up alot of my litttle time, but I think it would save you some time. Again Im just throwing out ideas..

DO IT ART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll take one fo sho!!!
And if you want, put together a feed system with fittings for pressure sender, guage, and turbo feed.
*I like this idea, because all this oil line stuff scares me the most about my turbo install!* Plus, there are too many damn fittings!

If people are putting their own turbos on, I should hope they could measure out and assemble the line from there.

i would definitely be interested as i think many others in a oil sending setup. as posted on this site, the t-fitting in block setup is **** to breaking due to engine vibration, i find it frustrating trying to find what part and where to get them, it would be great to be able to buy a close to complete setup where i know im getting the right parts and sizes, hope this comes about as im definitely interested
