competition clutch stage 4 owners. Not impressed
I just installed mine with the stock flywheel 200 miles ago. I've noticed it is truly a pain in the *** to drive. Off the line it chatters pretty bad and even chatters going into 2nd or 3rd if you drag the pedal alittle. Driving more aggressively the clutch chirps. At first I thought it was the tires but its the clutch. Chirps in every gear if you drive normal yet aggressively.

Certainly not worn mounts then. I have no experience with the CC Stage 4, but with clutches that is certainly an area I do not follow the typical Honda-Tech advice. You always get led to "bigger, badder, harsher" then what is really necessary.
You might get used to it after a while and not even notice anymore. Hopefully someone else with a CC Stage 4 chimes in.

ive never been a fan of the comp clutches. the pedal feel is so light you cant "feel" the engagement. i have a stage 4 in my s2k, i used a stage 1 in my itr, and ive driven a stage 4 on a b series coupe as well. i prefer the feel of an act over them hands down.

And that is exactly how it is. If you ride the clutch alittle for a smooth shift the dash shakes from the chatter of the clutch. And what's up with the chirp from the clutch if you let it out faster?

Stg 4 Competition clutch for 130whp?? holy moly. I had an ACT last year and the pressure plate springs broke on the dyno with less than 150 miles on it. I bought the CC stage 4 and i love it. That clutch held 450whp last year no problem. The pedal feel was a little light but I thought it was a very smooth clutch with awesome driveability. I will continue to run CC clutches.

Had a cc stage 4 and didn't like it at all. It was definitely chattery when to get moving, and was like an on and off switch. What a pain.

I have the competition stage 5. The pedal is very heavy, but I also got the upgraded pressure plate.
If I had to do it all over again I'd get the competition twin disc. It's expensive, but it's an all around better clutch than most on the market. Plus for those of you who get the upgraded pressure plate for that "heavy pedal" feel like I did...beware that it can ruin your thrust bearing in your block. You want to disable the clutch switch so you can start the car with the pedal out.

i have the same problem with my ccstage 4. bought it with cc 12lb flywheel. brand new stuff. I also have solid mounts. it does sucks for daily driving, taking off is an absolute nightmare sometimes.. driving in nyc, in traffic with this thing will make you think that getting out and push is an option. If i had to do this again i would of went with the cc full face disc, sprung, with stage 4 pressure plate. stock like pedal feel and can hold 400whp..

i have about 400 miles on a cc stage 4, new flywheel, and pp. I think it is great for the streets/strip. If it's chattery something is wrong.. The clutch is anything but chattery. if the clutch is slipping it could be not adjusted correct they are a little tricky to adjust. I ended up replacing my slave cylinder and have had to adjust my pedal also. I would look at getting it adjusted better.

To adjust the pedal, The clutch cylinder has a threaded rod end that attaches to the clutch pedal. If you are 100 percent sure you have no air and everything is working the proceed.
1. remove cotter pin to clevis pin at clutch pedal to clutch cylinder(cc). loosen jam nut on rod to cc. when loose do not pull out and keep it level.
2. there will be to much tension so loosen the two bolts that hold the cc. until you can remove clevis and now is where if your new to this count the number of turns you go. In your case i would decrease rod travel at cc. go 2 turns in. reinstall and try. By reducing travel your clutch will disengage half to 3/4 to floor.
reistall, start car see when clutch engages and you might want to adjust the opposite way. Good luck
