Comp Turbo ct4 6465 billet or Precision 6266 billet, for 600hp goal

Hi, I'm looking for suggestions for actually doing these two turbines, which would work best and which of the two is better quality. Both turbos with a / r .63 Turbine housing. which of the two produces more horsepower per pound of boost for 600hp goal, street and track car D series fully built!

The 6765 Is a great turbo I have one from Precision tho...Im using it on my H22 I made 479whp on only 17psi I should have made more but I have shitty delta cams im switching to Blox type B cams i should have no problem making 550 on pump Its a great turbo give it a shot ;) there is a local shop here in washington making 1200+whp in their shop car on a fulling built B18c1with a Precision 6765H and they made 698whp on their full build D16 with the same turbo. speedfactoryracing.net

That's a negative. your looking at around 930whp max and the depends on how big the A/R is on the turbing housing.

yup! its only rated for 900+ but check the website if you dont believe that turbo is way underrated. they are running a divided 1.44 A/R on the hot side on a B18C1 on 85mm sleeves the car is a beast. here is a video

Im not having a debate I have seen the car in person at the track and when I was getting my car tuned there. let me get their dyno sheet. in 2010 they made just a hair over 1100whp and in 2011 switched to a precision GT4272R and made over 1200whp.

You are speaking of Speed Factory's Hatch, driven by Kevin Kempf that races in the Outlaw Street class, and they are NOT using a 6765. That turbo is not even capable of making that type of power. That particular car is using a Precision billet GT-4272R, or they might have switched to the 7280. They are capable of making 1200+ whp, but the billet 6765 is not.

OP...

A billet 6262 will net you 600 whp with no issues, no need for the larger turbine wheel from the 6266.

yes they are running a GT-4272R I just called and spoke with matt . Its james car that was running the 6765H on his D16 before they pulled the motor I apologize for the confusion. ;)

6262 has routinely given out 700+ easily though.

mmmmm, remotely possible but definitely not easily

well....possible was thrown out the door when we were making around 750 lol.

basic block with a decent portflow head, ramhorn, magnus intake manifold. 11:1 83mm

I promise this power was not a battle to make.

Sure.. ok. Perhaps it was a "dyno" measurement thing, as it was different in our experiences with it. But if you say so, ok.

I hope those guys come out to the east coast again this year. I saw the car in the pits at World Cup Finals at MIR this past November, and man, pics don't do this car justice at ALL. Beautiful and fast car indeed.

Re: Comp Turbo ct4 6465 billet or Precision 6266 billet, for 600hp goal

I know it's possible to reach 600 horsepower with a precision 6262, but you have to fit more than 32-34 lb of boost. I am looking for a more efficient turbo to me, a little larger than the 6262 and was the 600 horsepower less than 30 pounds of boost! which of these two brands is more efficient turbos and what you think I work better

on a d series? im speaking of B, sorry
and i believe we were running around 30-34 psi.

on a B, we did exactly what i said. I bet600 is doable on the d series.

A guy here made 810whp @ 32psi on a billet 6262. the motor was a 2L AFI top mount i believe. so it's definitely possible.

I'm making 560whp on a .68ar 6262bb @ 25 psi. With a b18c 9.1 compression. Could easily break 600 but max my 1200cc injectors on e85.

Re: Comp Turbo ct4 6465 billet or Precision 6266 billet, for 600hp goal

With the right parts 6262's will do 700 with no problems. A local b series car i've done fab work on and sold a 6265 to does 770ish @ 25-26psi. Reputable dyno that pretty much any fast car in AZ dyno's on too before that arguement comes up.

but B16 with a 85mm 9.1:1 is good with 6765? I have a 6262 but afraid go to6765 and create more lag

i have PRO1 cams and TB 70mm

It would be intriguing to see the boost/ pressure ramp curve would be before I accept that premise. That exhaust wheel cannot physically do close to 700whp without using a lot of boost pressure much less 770whp. I'm sorry I'm not convinced that easily. I need to see a bit more of the car it's tuner. Contact info would be nice to discuss his pressure levels and setup.

I digress, as this isn't even about me or proving me right or wrong. I don't want to distract from the original point of this thread
