Default Cometic head gasket/cam gears

Im running a .074 Cometic headgasket on my turbo B16, and I understand this alters the cam timing...I have adjustable cam gears,....which way should I turn them to get the original timing back?.I'm thinking I should probably retard them a couple degrees but i'm not sure....

I saw a change in my cam timing when using the cometic. Use a timing light after install to check

a timing light won't help me with the cam timing though, especially on the exhaust cam...

Your cams have alignment holes. If you put dowels through the top of the flat aluminum piece on top of the cam caps and through the holes, then it will lock them at TDC. So rotate your motor to TDC, loosen the cam gears, then rotate the cams until you can put the dowel through the hole, then lock down the cam gears, remove the dowels, and you should be all lined up.
