Clutch slipping with Turbo?
Guys,
I have a question about my clutch. I have a Exedy Organic clutch on my B16 turbo. When accelerating on first gear, i notice the revs of my engine speed up with no noticeable improvement in speed. However, when i powershift into second ido get a good amount power to the ground and spin your tires. I can chirp 2nd gear and 3 gear no problem at all. Then I got in my friends car with a Clutchmaster stage 3, whos' got less power than me, and his first gear feels like its pulling and he can also chirp his tire 2nd and 3rd, could my clutch be slipping or thats normal? Both of us are only boosting 5 or 6psi only.

Its possible. The Exedy Organic full face is only rated up to 300hp I think. If you have some miles on it, then chances are it is slipping.

Exedy is Garbage...Do an ACT 6 puck...Also remember that you have really short gears with a b16 trans so it will rev up really fast but it shouldnt spin...Try bleeding your clutch and see if that helps you grab a little better...

the rmp should go up in relaton to speed.......
so if the rpm suddenly start climbing faster then before in the same gear it's either your tires slipping or the clutch....
Your rpm should climb at a constant rate with speed....
