clutch master cylnder?? 96+ hatches.. Need advice..
ive been having problems w/ my bros 96+ hatch regarding the dam clutch.. its an RPS clutch/PP (pedal feel is stiffer than stock btw) and when the turbo setup was in my 93 hatch, I never had any problems with it.. but when we put the setup into his hatch, the clutch began to act up (nothing else was touched b/w the changover)... it would eventually get really hard to shift into gears and get real sticky and stubborn... we already replaced the throwout bearing, but it didn't help much.. the problem still exists... we've even bled the clutch fluid numorous time w/o no sucess as well.. my last conclusion has to be the clutch master cylnder.. has anyone ever expecrienced this problem w/ their 96+ hatches?? its getting really annoying and we need to figure it out b4 we can take it to the tuner to tune the new turbo....

does sometimes you have to pump the clutch to get it to engage? IF so its the master cylinder.
also check to make sure you don't have air pockes in your master cylinder or slave cylinder. Bleed them before you go replacing anything. (oh just read you did that) also,
They Say to replace master and slave at same time, just for peace of mind I recommend replacing both. U can get them from autozone pretty cheap if you don't mind aftermarket.
I had a clutch problem that ended up being a broken arm inside the gearbox and it wouldn't go into neutral. I check and replaced everthing that had to do with shifting.
One more thing, it may be that your PP bolts have backed out some? IF you can do it, you can pull the starter and check each bolt one by one by turning crank pulley. I couldn't do it that way, had to pull the tranny. This wasn't my problem but when I checked them they did back out some. I tourqed them to spec when I installed my ACT clutch too. I ended up using crush washers just in case.

Honda clutch masters go bad, alot. i replace about 3-4 a week at my shop. Look under the dash at the clutch master pushrod where it goes into the master cylinder, if its wet with fluid you need a new master cylinder.
