Clutch and Flywheel suggestions (97 GSR 250whp)
What clutch would not kill my leg(pedal preassure wise) but would hold up under boost(10lb) 97 GSR w/ 250whp. I probably wont go to far above that hp wise, also a suggestion for a flywheel type and weight. GSR running a greddy turbo kit so it's nothing to crazy. Thanks, and yes I searched with no real luck.

I've had very good luck with my Exedy stage 2 and ACT 11lb flywheel. It seems like a pretty decent combo for the street and about 300whp. I now plan to upgrade to something like the Competition Stage 4 though. You may want to consider your future goals when planning a clutch/fly combo now.

I'm thinking more about my left leg and a bad heel spur and knee issues I've had over the years, need something that isnt to hard to press.
With turbo you want a fairly light flywheel right? or do you want heavy to keep it spooled up?

First of all, the Exedy 2 is about the lightest clutch you'll find (in my experience) for that power range. It doesn't feel much stiffer than a good stock clutch...which is why i decided on it in the first place.
With a turbo setup, the flywheel choice really depends on your setup and goals. Since you're using a small turbo and aren't shooting for a ton of power, you have a lot more leeway than some setups. In cases where a small displacement (b16) engine is using a larger turbo, having a light fly will make the turbo spool later and fall out of boost after shifting; whereas a heavier one will make it spool faster (rpm wise) but the engine will rev slower...the engine will also have a little stronger torque line since there is more kinetic energy in the heavier flywheel.
Basically stick with something in the 10-14lb range and you'll be golden.

I would check the Marketplace...those are generally the best deals you'll find online. I actually bought mine from another user on the site who decided to upgrade and no longer needed the new clutch. If you have a little time, be patient and you may run across something...

Exactly Adam, I went with a Competition Clutch stage 3 (for future upgrade purposes only), but I was amazed at how street-oriented it felt for a stage 3 sprung 6 puck clutch. But I agree, the Exedy stage 2 is a really great unit. My cousin is running one in his EJ, and I drove it, seems surprisingly stock like.

clutchmasters stage III, in fact even the IV or V is good too, they all have very minimal pedal effort. STAY AWAY from ACT there clutches are junk and have redicalous pedal pressure.

i could vouch for that!!! I have a stage 3 6 puck with extreme pressure plate and I love it but it is killer as a daily driver!!!! luclily i dont drive my ride much so if it were not for my wifies durango i would prolly hate it but damn it grips like a *****!!!!!

Re: (blinx9900)
Yeah, all the act's ive put in were way to hard (pedal) grip was ok but pedal was not, clutch masters seemed near stock but they seem hard on gears or something I went through a stage 3 a bunch of years ago, it was just wierd.
