Default Click here....if you have a Profec B and Deltagate.

I hate to post this again, but for the life of me, I can't get my Profec B to work.

I followed the directions on Greddy's site to no avail. Here is what I did.

Profec B unit vacuum line to intake manifold.
Profec Black Box OUT to side port of Deltagate.
Profec Black Box IN to compressor of turbo.
Profec B unit jumper switches set to External WG (Not External when overboost occurs).

It doesn't work, what gives?

Greddy's site says to keep a line between the compressor and the side port of the wastegate, and have the Black Box OUT to the top port of the Deltagate. When I do this, the WG is open at idle.

What did you guys with a Deltagate and Profec B do?

Thanks guys, I hate having to 30% throttle the thing all the time because my boost just goes up and up.

It has to run out of the top port of the wastegate.. not the side.

switch the in and out lines, you have them backwards.

Do I use the side port then?

So the OUT goes to the compressor, and the IN goes to the top port of the WG?

Does anything go to the compressor side of the turbo? Or does the Profec unit plugging into the intake manifold take care of the boost side?

Thanks.

side port goes to IN
top port goes to OUT
The Side port of the Deltagate is supposed to read Boost isn't it?
The black box is more or less a solenoid, which holds boost pressure coming
through the IN port, and the solenoid opens, sending that boost pressure out
of the OUT port.

Argh.. everyone has a different version. I don't even know if my facts are straight.

We need a FAQ on this board.

I'd really like to get this straight too, considering I spiked to 18 psi on a stock ls block because these lines were not correct ;

same thing happened to me I hooked up the OUT to the side port on the wastegate and I spiked 16 psi. Just got off the phone with Greddy today:

IN - intake manifold
OUT - Top port on Wastegate
Side port wastegate - Intake manifold
Compressor - plug it

Somebody correct this if it is wrong but that is what a Greddy Tech told me today

just did the same thing for my friends car the other day.

Black Box In -> vacuum source on intake manifold
Black Box Out -> top port of deltagate
Wastegate side port -> vacuum source on intake manfiold
turbo compressor -> nothing

IN - goes to the compressor
OUT - Top of the wastegate
Side port of the wastegate goes to a vacuum source.

Its better to hook up the IN on the compressor because the boost is more accurate. But i guess vacuum source off the manifold would work too.

Now, all these connections are supposed to be made with the Profec B switch set to external- no overboost?

WOOHOO!! It finally works!!!

I used BoostedSi's directions and it worked. For some reason, the other's didn't work. Thanks so much.

Now I can finally enjoy some boost. Thanks again.
