Default cleaning used injectors

sorry if this is the wrong forum,but these are going in my boosted car and i spend most of my time reading in here

Im buying a used set of rc 310s for a great price...i want to clean them before i put them in the car.Can i soak them in something to clean them out, or should i just run some cleaner in the next fill up?

you can send them to rc to have them cleaned and tested

I sent my 1000cc rc's to http://www.witchhunter.com, it was like $15/injector plus shipping there, they paid for return shipping. The price is for cleaning and flow testing. I pretty good deal imo.

im looking for something cheap and easy to do before i throw em in...I thought about sending them out, but i dont want the down time

if you don't want the down time they you are pretty much going to have to risk using them.

I would just send them out and wait. think how much downtime you'll have if you blow the motor due to an injector fault/failure!

Soak in gasoline for a few days is a cheap thing to do but your still taking a chance.

i gave mine to my cousin who was going to auto tech school. lol they were in the injector part of the course. so they did a flow test. everyone was wondering why he would want to run 550's. LOL "that's over kill" and then i just went to a local fuel injector shop to get new o-rings and filters. look in your yellow pages y0!

if you're looking for something you can do at home, you could hook up an old fuel pump to the injector with a rubber hose, draw some injector cleaner through it, and spray by applying 12v to the injector coil
