Civic Ex Q mile time?
Hi , I was wondering what a stock automatic 2000 Civic Ex's quarter mile time is? And what a automatic 2000 Civic Ex with a Jackson Racing Supercharger running 6lbs of boost would run in the quarter mile? I've searched the internet but have trouble finding any numbers.
Thanks

Re: Civic Ex Q mile time? (leadtrum)
the best i could do with i/e on mine was 17.5 in my 00 ex with auto. with my set-up now, i have a good chance of running high 14's or low 15's. forget the jrsc and go with turbo more power increase if desired.

I was thinking about going turbo, but from what I've heard the supercharger is gentler on the motor and auto tranny, and requires less maintaince. Plus I figure the supercharger would give me a little more torque, which is something an auto civic needs lol

properly tuned it could go for high 14's. if you run about 10 psi. you will probably run about mid to low 14's. but at 10 psi, you'll need some good fuel management. if you just want low end torque, then an sc would work for you. both turbos and sc put strain on your tranny. Boost responsibly.

Well that's a good question. I always thought that the Turbo would not be as hard on the engine as a supercharger. The Supercharger works off of friction and the turbo works of Exhaust gases. To you guru's wouldn't the supercharger cause more wear than a Turbo? (Besides the fact of faster you go the more friction is created in internals-proper oil treatment)
