chipped p06 and now no fuel
i got a chipped p06 converted to vtec running an uberdata basemap. i sold the ecu a couple months ago to someone that wanted to run a mini me in an ef. i get a call that the ecu isn't working so i go check it out and re-burn the chip. i put the ecu in my integra that i know for sure is running and is not having any problems with fuel or spark. so when i went to start my car with the p06, it started then died out quickly. i check the spark, and its fine. then i notice that the fuel pressure guage is at ~20 psi (the car sat for about 20 minutes and is set at 45psi) so the motor was turning over but not getting any fuel. so i put back my stock ecu and right away the fp jumps to 45psi. how can i check if the ecu is sending the fuel or not? btw... i did cut J1 and still no start. also, if i do find out where the ecu is messed up, can it be fixed?
cliff notes: chipped p06 getting spark no fuel. put in stock ecu and car started right away.

You could get it from a parts ecu if you would have one. More than likely, when the cap goes, it takes the traces with it when it shorts out. So you have to jump a few pins to get things working properly.

thanks for the replies. what are some starting points i should look at and where should i be jumping pins? i dont want to damage the ecu further. also, is this common?

A4 is the fuel pump pin. look at the left hand side of the ecu. u will see a few brown electrolytic capacitors. those usually go bad and will not let the fuel pump turn on. the big one wich i believe is a 220uF capacitor rated at 50 volts (the biggest capacitor on the board) usually goes bad. do what was mentioned above and smeel the caps for a nasty smell. also look for visible signs of a bad cap.

My bad. You win.
I think A17 is actually IABs? I can't remember sometimes.

I actually think if you look at the ecu from the inside, the pins are backwards from what they are on the outside. So it depends on which way you are looking at it. Check out the sticky in the Civic/del sol topic.
I think A7 is the fuel pump circuit. I just now remember this becuase A7 and A8 are both on the same circuit and A8 is an open pin.

the one at C14 and the one at C19 smell different from the rest and arent giving any continuity reading. i should be able to find these parts at radio shack right?
