i got the turbo, intercooler, blow off valve, boost controller, wastegate, and turbo timer for $1100.
The guy that sold it to me said that it is a hks upgraded starion intercooler. I had no idea what he meant. For all I know it could have the hks core, or it could just be "upgraded" by the paint on the front.
Can anyone tell me what that could mean? I had no idea you could have hks upgrade your intercooler from a starion.

Looks like every other Starion IC to me. The guy must have sprayed it. As long as you didn't pay some crazy price for it though then it doesn't matter.

Yea, looks like every other Starion IC. Check the inlet/outlet pipe diameters...it looks bigger than usual. (Or it could just be from the angle of the picture?)

stock starion intercooler for sure, only thing that has been upgraded is the bracket on the top and the spray painted hks.

the welds around the core would look newer than the welds around the pipes, but from the picture it does not look like that is the case at all.

upgrade= mounting bracket to mount on the front of the fame and black # 7659756 "custom" hks design
starions go for 250 on ebay ...about ( got one from a dsm guy for 60 beans .. sold it already)
turbo, new or used? 800-250??
manifold 200-400?
turbo timer 100?

TurbothisLS...put a fitting in that whole so you can run a vaccum hose from that hole to your wastegate . run it to the hole on the side of your wastegate . not the top hole , the top hole controls the boost , the side hole is for the vaccum .

so you are saying run a vacuum line from the wg to the turbo with the brass fitting? I know one inlet on the wg says vacuum and the other, i'm not sure. Which line goes and connects to where?

wat WG do you have . deltagate ? HKS ? on both of those the top whole is for the boost . so if you had a boost controller you would run a vaccum line from that hole to the boost controller . the one you would want to use would be the one on the side . just like you said...run a vaccum line from the side of the WG to the brass fitting by the turbonectics tag on your turbo .

Haha, HKS custom sprayed intercooler. I think that'll be my tactic for when I sell my starion. Spray Greddy or something on it.

o well it will flow more power than u'll make with a stock bottom end.....upgrade when u build ur block.
