ATP usually comes out with some pretty helpful stuff...and i'm surprised that they're not ridiculously expensive

wow why to copy FP, BUT i have to say i really like the ATP housing and the fact that its made for smaller applications, i would get one. now they need to start making them for BW and garrett t3/t4's

yea that's cool but i would not spend 300 for a greddy turbo. Just upgrade the whole setup.

This kind of wastegate placement isn't new at all. Grand Nationals came stock with T3 housings using the same spot for the WG dump. You could get T3 housings with a 38mm flange for the longest time. So...don't instantly scream someone copied someone else.

I just wish their housings didn't cost as much (divided T3 specifically). For just a tad more, you can go from a T3+atp housing to a divided GT30.

or you can pay a certain sponser on here and they will actually take your turbine now and make the proper cut and weld on a WG flange of your choice. thats what i plan on doing with a BW S366 BUT i fear the turbine wheel may be to large to go that route.

i think the t25 options can make for some vast improvements for people with t25 flanged turbo's
i know most of you guys don't run them but there is a vw guy that made something like 480whp on a t25 gt3076 with a .73 hks housing and hks doesn't make that anymore so the .72 from atp will fill that void
and also like mentioned before guys with greddy kits can upgrade much easily to a setup with much more potential with some of these housings

GN's did not come in t3's. All stock GN's are a 3 bolt flange.

forgive my ignorance,

how would people upgrade with this housing over the stock greddy kit. I have the tdo4-15g which is t25 flange and a fairly small turbo. does just changing the housing help? or do you have to upgrade the blades (not the technical term)

It would allow you to run a better turbo on the same manifold with the option of an external wastegate.

External > Internal

hence the v band flange for a wastegate. its starting to make sense now.

so basically one would have one of these turbos:

• GT28RS/GT2871R/GT2876R
•*GT3071R/GT3076R/GT3082R (60mm turbine wheel)
• T3/T4 STAGE III (76 Trim turbine wheel)

then take off the exhaust housing and replace it with this housing, and run a wastgate off the vband flange?
