Anyone running Cheater slicks on the street?

i run the new bfg r1's. love them best tire i brought had them on for the last month. after going on the hway one night and breaking in the motor, the 2 radial lines are gone and some say i have slicks but there not. never had issues yet

Back in the day I ran the Mickey Thompson drag radials and later went with the BFG drag radials. They are great for traction but they will wear out super fast if you are planning on daily driving them. Also the car's cornering ability was significantly diminished. I ended up just buying an extra pair of the same wheels I already had and mounted them on those. I would just use them for driving to the track, make a few passes then drive home. Lasted much longer that way.

Ok, a drag radial is NOT a cheater slick. A cheater slick is a bias ply tire with a wrinkle wall that is dot aproved where a drag radial is a radial.

There not for DD's but good for weekend warriors. I have used them on rwd cars but never on fwd on the street.

Ya on the Accord, with 10 mm spacers I have over 1/4 inch to the unrolled lip, and more than enough room inside, no touch traction bars at full lock The G60s will fit No prob with no spacer and I might hit a smidge at full lock on the bars, but no issues anywhere else. Im taking the car out this weekend, so may have to order them sooner rather than later LOL

i wouldnt do it , i bought mt 225/50/r15 et streets and 1500 km of driving already at wear bars. and honestly if u have any sort of power ur just going to break free anyways ,

Your fail doesnt apply to everyone. I get MANY MANY hits on them and they last fine. MTs are junk.

M&Hs are in another league. Period. From experience. The G60s offer .5 more tread width and .6 Diameter... Ill be able to hook 700 in fourth with that.

The M&H 230/60/14s offer 7.5" tread (25" tire) where the G60 has 7.8" tread (26" tire).

Is the .3" more tread worth running a 26" tall tire?
