CEL Light On - No Engine Code - Car Bucks & Chokes @ 4000 RPM
Question, I'm getting frustrated, just took the car out of storage, started it a few times in the winter and no problems. Take the car around the block for the first time yesterday and I have an engine code, I have no idea what code is lit, I jumped it a bunch of times and its just a SOLID CEL. I did some reading and I dont think the ECU is finished just because I can drive the car and everything works, but for some reason the car chokes and bucks bad at around 4,000 RPM, I dont know if the 2 issues are related.
Anyone have any Ideas?

I've had this problem before. My car would bog and choke above 4k and my rpms wouln't stay constant up top. After a little while it threw the ecu code as well.
Turned out that the ecu ground on the thermostat was loose and it was loosing connection. That might be it, wouldn't hurt to check.

w/ s200 unplugged, your car will hit fuel cut at 4k rpm.. i'd suggest to replace the cable between ecu and hondata, probably broken up somewhere
otherwise, i'd check/replace all of your ignition components.. such as distr rotor cap plugs wires

Ok, checked the S200, the red light is going on and off, inspected the clip closely, and one of the wires is out of the socket. I'm gonna change the wire as suggested and see if it fixes the problem, something that happened overnight like this sure does sound like a short from a broken wire.

when the code wont flash its called a code 0 computer malfunction. has to do with the cable the chip the soldering or the ecu/wiring
