Default cc-fab/CTP B-series Ramhorn review.

I Had been looking around for a manifold for sometime now, and I have found nothing but Overpriced pieces, but great quality of course.
Untill i talked to a buddy of mine who had recently ordered a manifold from Corey of (previously CC-fab soon to be Connecticut Turbo & Performance.) as well and only paid 450$, soo I look into it thinking it was gunna be a low quality piece-o, that night I buy one no questions asked...
Whatever you have heard in the past or want to believe about customer service/quality/looks, you are probably incorrect.
febuary 1st 2007 I get a package. Inside, the manifold I had ordered from Corey.
tear that box apart and immediately mock it up and take few snaps of the manifold and based on the amount of research and dif manifolds I have owned/seen this is by far the best bang for the buck.

If I were to rate the manifold/ customer service, on a scale from 1-10, It easily gets a 9.5
talked to him personally, no slow Email BS.
recieved pictures of actual manifolds and what MINE looked like.
Didnt rape my wallet
even cut me a deal and paid shipping as well.
Welds are great, Flange is all hand ported and match runners perfectly, wastegate and collector also hand ported.
Fit is exceptional.
100% lifetime guarentee to never crack/warp under normal use.

Ill let you be the judge...

Tell me what you think, and keep in mind judge for what it is not cause you paid more and got ripped off.

Are my eyes deceiving me? That collector does not look ported. Good looking manifold none the less.

I'd really like to know what the hell reason exists that this post belongs in the welding/fabrication section of this website. You bought a manifold that a "former" scammer (benefit of the doubt given I suppose) sold you...has sh*t to do with the welding/fab section.

You bought a manifold and received it, it's descent, end of story, end of thread. Next time post somewhere else.

why does everybody have to be a ***** towards this guy? obviously he's is not a fabricator and paid somebody to make something for him. he stated what he thought about the manifold and then asked other "fabricators" about what they thought about the mani. now i wonder why he posted in this forum and not the forced induction one?

with that out of the way, i would like to have seen the inside of the collector welded to the flange. i think that there is to big of gaps to be filled with just one pass on the outside. but that's just me.

good luck on your project.

Hotrex made it what do you expect. Will they honor the warranty if they change their name again? lol

I bought a manifold from Josh and Corey...the fitment is great and the shipping was prompt. I have and will continue to buy products from them because of this. I have talked to both of them on several occasions and regardless of what everyone wants to think, they are good guys who make a good product.

Just for the record, my topmount from CCFab is of better quality and fitment than some other parts i've had made for me from other BIG NAME Fabricators in this forum....sponsors at that

Sorry, I just have to mention this was a poorly done review. Its like reviewing a 60" plasma TV by simply hanging it on the wall, no power, no input signal. "Fitment is great, plastic looks sturdy, the remote fits in my hand - omg this thing is ****."

If you really want to review a manifold, you have it x-rayed to check the welds, then run the absolute **** out of it & check back in 10k miles to mention if it cracked or not. I'm sure even some ssauto manifolds can look great when they're just mocked up, never run for a few thousand miles...

Ever read the long-term reviews in Motor Trend? I like to refer to the porsche review, how it 10x the problems (interior falling part, roof leaking) in 5k miles than the camery above it had in 20k miles. Let me even hint to the typical SSAuto turbo. It has the exact same dimentions as the real deal (hinting towards your 'fitment' statements), but theres a lot of them that don't last 200 miles.

You can fool at least a couple though.

You could Magnaflux or Fluorescent Inspect it too

Good luck with the manifold and let us know how it holds up over time. I've defintly heard mixed reviews from these people but any new company has its quirks.

It was some scheme they had. They thought hey maybe if we told everyone josh isnt apart of CCFAB people will buy our ****? Nope didnt work cause everyone remembered CCFAB= Garbage or no manifold. Then they decided to change their name. Josh couldn't hold back that he still worked with Corey slinging manifold and now everyone is catching on again so what does that mean. No sales. He had a friend of his posting pictures online to get opinions. Can you guess what happened?
