Catch can?

I am going to get a catch can for my boosted GS-R, and the mechanic suggested for 1 of the lines coming off the catch can to be routed to the exhaust to create a "vacuum". Right now, because there is so much crankcase "pressure", the seals and gaskets are wearing down and it's leaking oil. I will have my oil pan gasket and rear main seal replaced, but I was wondering if this setup seems all right. I am boosting 11 psi on upgraded internals and plan on boosting at least 18 psi in the future.
Thanks. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

I wish I could show a picture somehow, but imagine a line coming from the catch can underneath the car attached to the exhaust piping right after the header and downpipe. Will this work well in a boosted car because it should take pressure out of the block, which shouldn't affect boost, right?

Re: Catch can? (TurboGS-R)

if your going to use exhaust to help keep vaccuum on it then make sure you run the line from the exhaust to the TOP of the catch can so you do not get oil dumping out the exhaust and make sure you use a check valve. There is a HUGE thread on catch cans in this section.

Bump...

I really need to know the answer to this. How do other people with built turbo Hondas use a catch can and how do they create a vacuum so the seals and gaskets won't eventually blow because of crankcase pressure?

thanks...
