alright, its a drag kit basically. i put hte key in the on position, and it only gets like 20psi of fuel pressure. i've tried raising the fpr and it still only goes to 20. After i turn it to the on position and it goes to 20, it slowly bleeds back down to 0 for some reason. The engine is clearly not getting enough fuel.

i just changed the fpr, pressure still drops quickly ater i put car inthe on position. i took off the inline, fuel pressure went up to 40, but it still quickly drops. Why is it dropping?

I don't know what it maybe, but maybe second fuel pump (which going with kit) not work or not turned on.

wrong. its getting power and pumping. and i took it off, im running off the stock pump now. trying to figure out the problem. it WAS holding pressure at first, then i tried to start the car and it died.... no power at all. suddenly it turnedb ack on, and NOW i have the problem that it won't hold pressure. help!

no, please listen. its not even hooked up anymore. i had it in backwards at first, then switched it around, thinking the stock fuel pump may have died.

no i already tried it with fmu off. car wouldnt have started w/ fmu backwards, putting in a new fuel pump now.

tried a maxima fuel pump... its not getting fuel for some reason. i can hear the thing, but its making 0 fuel pressure.. not sucking ANYTHING up! Ah!

gotta get me a walbro tomorow and drive this thing, worked from 8am to 4am today, very very tired.

give me a call, well figure this out. Fuel pressure stuff is cake compared to ignition gremlins and inejctor stuff. Dont get too stressed out. with 1100 posts, you should have learned something by now!!!

Ok, calm down a bit dude... Do this... Take the stock fuel pump out of the tank... I bet the hosing is ripped a bit. What probably happened is that when you had your inline pump on, too much fuel pressure built up and the hose right above the pump (in the tank) probably ruptured a bit. Mine used to do this with estreme fuel pressures. It's either that or the stock pump got fucked when you put the inline one on backwards. In which case you'll have to replace it. But check the hoses first. Remember, you have to take the pump out of tank to get to the hose I'm talking about. The simptom when this happens is... You prime the pump... put key in on posistion, but don't start... once the pumps stops priming, the fuel pressure takes a dive all the way to 0 or may stick at 10 or so psi...

make sure u have installed the "sock" on the maxima fuel pump correctly.....if u have it on backwards it wont pick up any fuel (its an easy mistake to make when you're tired)

i didnt even put a sock on. i just wanted to get it to work, im picking up a walbro now and taking back the maxima pump.

when installing your inline fuel pump did you mess with your stock fuel pump wiring? maybe a connection is on incorrect or loose.

ok i put the walbro in. fuel pressure goes up to 40 (normal), then drops down to 0 once the pump stops pressurizing.
