Car won't go above -10 vacuum!
So i have a stock block boosted b16. The car ran great and had lots of power, it was half *** tuned ( do to a bad dizzy cap) but i still got on it a couple of times. I noticed the other day the car didn't go into boost when it should have. I took it all the way to 7k and still no boost. Now a few days later the car will not go above -10 vacuum. You can floor it as hard as you want and it just acts like you are half throttle. It is slow as **** too.
The car idles great, runs great, and sounds great, but it just acts like it only goes half throttle. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

just yesterday about 8 times trying to figure this out. I have no idea what this could be! even bad couplers or ic piping leaks wouldn't cause the car to stay below -10, i cant even get it to 0 on my gauge

is the turbo still on there
seriously though, how good of condition is the turbo? when was the last time you had the downpipe off? does the car have a cat on it?

haha, turbo is good, spins at idle. Its not the gauge cause the car is slow as **** (really really slow). And i don't think its a leak thats causeing it because even if the car had NO charge piping on it it would at least hit 0 vacuum right?!?

yeah but i was thinking maybe the gauge is really hitting "zero" but the gauge is WAY OFF.
and maybe if the charge piping was leaking, before say you ran 1 psi from the gauge but in fact it's 11psi.
i dunno

the only way that this is really possible at all is if your throttle cable is loose....otherwise your engine would at least get to 0 vac. Also, it may be the gauge....

No cat, full 3" mandrel with no muff, cat, or resonators. Its not the gauge, trust me. The only way i can describe this is that the car acts like it is 50% throttle when its wide open. Ill check and see if its something as simple as the throttle cable.

i say loose throttle cable.
It probably looks fine because the threads for the adjuster prolly just skipped back aways.
Have some one floor and make sure u cant oped the butterfly anymore.

the only way for a engine not to goto 0vaccum is its not getting the right amount of air.
Rags, mice, and midgets often cause this.

just pull the head off. Its either a completely fubared turbo, valve-ish, or your rings no longer have a use on this earth. The reason why your not hitting zero is compression, you are probably running on 3 maybe 2 cylinders.
