Default car wont boost over 6psi? wtf

i have 2 ls integras. i had one stock. 550cc injectors walboro 255 fuel pump an xs power turbo. tuned the car to 10 lbs. after about a month of just driving it wouldnt boost over 6. so i figure maybe the spring set in the wastegate because it wasnt using a boost controller, so that setup stayed at 6psi.
now i took the kit off that teg. put it on another one. only thing i kept was the turbo mani, now im using a precision sc60 turbo. 550cc injectors new intercooler and all that. car wont make over 6psi. granted this turbo on 6 felt like the other one on ten. is it my tune for the other car holding it back? or is there some other issue. there is a boost controller on this one

This.

Perform a boost leak test & report back with results.

would a boost leak also cause back firing during de-celeration for (ex) coming up to a stop light and downshift to 3rd and sounding like an srt 4 ??

i dont think itd be a boost leak. i took it off another car had the same problem. boosted at 8 then over time went to 6 and wouldnt go above. pulled that kit off and installed it on a diff teg. same setup and redid all the hoses and pipes.. and this one wont go over 6 either.. and its a new wastegate also.. whats the best rout for a pressure test?

Sounds like the turbo's dying. If you're taking the turbo off and going to one car after the other with the same result, sounds like the turbo itself is taking a ****. "Seals" aren't the only reason why turbos can grenade themselves. I've seen more than my share of turbos that dye slow deaths. And no, its not just because its egay ****. Even legit turbos can display these symptoms.

the other car was using an xs power turbo. this ones a precision sc60. its new so i dont think i got two turbos with the same issues..
i did test all my lines though and i have a small vacuum leak on the line that goes to boost gauge. would a small leak like that cause any issues? or maybe im just not getting an acurate reading from it. ill have to hook it up to my wideband and laptop and see what it tells me at full throttle

ok before you close this page, i have to say, get rid of that peice of crap xspower aka SSAUTO CHROME header, it will chrack since the turbo will weigh the header down, and when the headers get hot they tend to get softer obviously. I cracked mine in 5 diff places and a few small holes, then after where all the tubes meet, that little piece thats welded up to plug that hole will crack on you if your boosting alot and hard on it over time! mine cracked and shot into my turbo! dont be cheap, if you get a turbo kit do it right! XSpower is embracing! i will be sure to laugh if i see someone at a meet use that ****! just look out for you, it will crack and fu%* it up bro.
