Default Car is smoking only under decelration...WHY?

So i just dropped in a B16 and its been the same with all the motors ive had in my car. When decelrating while in gear there a cloud of blue smoke that follows me. And its only when decelerating, at WOT, idle, anytime else, nothing. I dont think its the turbo cause theres no Oil in the charge pipes at all. Like i said, its dont this with 3 different motor and 2 different turbos, and im a little confused now.

Setup consists of:
B16A fresh from the importer
Holset HX35
2.5" charge pipes
2.5" Open downpipe
PTE 1000cc injectors
Motorola 2.5 bar map
Pretty basic setup

The old turbo was a t3/t4 57 trim

Any ideas?

Oil in the downpipe? Could be your exhaust seal.

no oil in the downpipe either, everything looks good, how could exhaust seals be bad on 3-4 different motors

oh, and not sure if this means anything, but the PCV system is removed from the intake manifold an dplugged but the black box on the back of the block is still open on that hole.

ive noticed our hotrod cars will push oil if you dont push the clutch in on decel. ours push into the catch can, not out of the exh.

how old are both turbo's you were using ?

The t3/t4 was brand new, and the holset has about 56k on it.

i had the EXACT same problem to a tee. 2.5" open DP and all.

it turned out the black box on the back of the motor was leaking a ton of oil out, it was running down the DP and on decel since the motor makes alot of vacuum even on the exhaust side, it was sucking it back into the downpipe and burning off causing the smoke. i **** you not as soon as i fixed the oil leak it stopped smoking.

but if i get underneath the car and look around theres not a drop of oil anywhere. Im understanding that right, it was physicaly blowing out of the black box and dropping on the downpipe right?

yes oil was actually leaking out of the hole in the block, running down the block and dropping onto the dowpipe, and while driving is slowly ran down the downpipe ot the end and started getting sucked back in and burning off.

Ya its not leaking oil anywhere. The back of the block and everything is spotless.

i guess ill just learn not to use the engine as a brake to slow down, if i just put it in neutral, and coast, it never smokes. And compression shows 200 across the board and my gauge reads about 10-12psi low.

sounds fresh, but leakdown should tell you the whole story.

when i had a smoking on decel problem. it was the turbo on its way out. replaced turbo = no more smokin.
