Default car runs bad after new spark plug installation

Hallo,

i have a small problem with my b16a turbo,
since a few days i have a small bogging of the car when it is cold.
the car only bogs under part throttle criusing conditions.

the only thing i changed the last days was to install new spark plugs.
i changed from BKR6EN-11 to BKR7EN-11 and i'am not 100% sure that the gap
is exaclty 0.044" (when i remember this value right) as it is described in the
service manual.

do you think that this bogging can come from a wrong gap? or from the other heat range?

i notice that the bogging is more when it is a bit colder (17-18°C) in the morning hours
when i drive to work. on the afternoon when it is (26-28°C ambient) then it is not so much
but anyway it is noticeable when driving.

Hope someone can help me.
Greets
Malte.

Why did you put colder plugs in, in the first place? how much boost are you running? Even going one step colder may be to much for your set up if the car is not gettng hot enough or the ignition systme is not up to par.

You should also be running a lot tighter gap with boost. NA calls for .45-.55. For boost you should be in the area of .35-.38. As a rule of thumb, you should go one step colder for every 100 hp you make over stock. Good luck on fixing the problem.

i would definately gap them tighter then .044. try like .035 or .032 and see how that works. gap does make a difference tho, cause my friend dropped one of my plugs on the ground the other day and the gap on that plug was like .02 or something retarted close like that and my car wasnt idling properly.
