car doesnt turn over...just whinnes like the timming belts off?
ok swapped heads from stock to ls built head... i bought a set of rev valves from exospeed and had the exh side only put in,cus the machine shop said the intake side didnt seat ryte so i was gonna need oversized valves,so he got me a set of aftermarket intake valves.... I wanna know if the length of my intakes are the same as the exh cus it seems like the valve stays open on the intake side which is letting the air escape and causing the car not to turn over due to lack of no compression?/????anyone ever have this problem....

you should do a valve adjustment if you had a complete valvetrain put into it.

Did you do a comp. test to make sure the motor does have compression? Have you made sure you have spark? Have you made sure you have fuel? It can only be 3 things...air, fuel and spark.

Timing off? Valves seated correctly? Do a compression test to see if the valve job was done correctly.

after we tried turning the car over, we removed the head and checked the valves immediately and turned the camshafts till the valves were all closed....put a flashlight by the valves and could see alil light through there even with the valves being totally adjusted closed?

Did you ever adjust the valves? If they weren't adjusted that could be the problem. When you tear the head apart you have to adjust them once the head is back on the motor.

its happened alot to people...remove the head for work and just slap it back together. you need to make sure that the number one cylinder is at TDC and adjust the cams, gears, distributor accordinly.
if not lots of turning with no burning. and possibly some bent valves (which it seems you may have)

Or the person who did the head job didn't cut a good seat for the valves. We had this problem here at work with a local machine shop. Pull the head and have it checked over and call the machine shop and see if any other heads they have been doing have come back.
