Default car dies when you let off gas

everytime you go and let off the gas and the rpm reaches 0 its dies right away.
i check everything that i can think of.
had the shop do a compression test and its 180 straight across.
no check engine light or what so ever.
the only way that it wont die is if i wont press the clutch to brake. let the rpm go all the way to maybe 1500 and then step on the clutch to brake or whatever.
and also the motor is rebuilt with all new pistons and rods.
anyone here have a clue?????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????

Vacuum leaks usually make the rpm's go up at idle, aka it would idle really high.

Aftermarket throttle? may have set the valve on the throttle too low...when idles it will die because of lack of air... or have you mess with the MAP sensor... if you switch the MAP and TPS sensor connectors it will die when you let go of gas instantly....thats all i could think of right now.. i have the same problem with mine...hope this help..let me know what you found out..

I had the same problem when I rebuilt my motor with new pistons and rods. I changed to colder plugs (or new ones) and it worked perfectly. Try that first before tearing anything down.

True that....

I currently run an Open downpipe. And **** does it suck no air~! The exhaust gas stays under hood and the intake sucks in the bad air...-

My car been stalling down to 0rpm.., bogging, and SLOW! lately... For some reason... Today I remove my filter and wash it down. Guess what..? I fill the inner intake with water, and the filter HOLDS THE WATER!!@!@ LIKE A CUP!!

spray it down hard and now its clean again! w00t... Boy do I love my car again.! Pulls like a new baby reborn! w00t..!

I got the same problem. I just press the clutch in when I get around 1500 rpms and brake. Its been working but its a pain in the ***. Phiz is on his way down to finish the tune on my car and he thinks it could be 2 things. If we figure it out ill post back up, but the only time mine ever stalls out is if I just let go at a higher rpm and don't smooth it down or if its hot out, when its cool out I have no problems whatsoever. My idle is also bouncing so its something that isn't functioning correctly, its pissing me off so im going to find out what it is.

Just for *****. What engine management are you running?

Noone ask this, do you have a lighten flywheel? like 8 lbs. of so, cause my friend GSR N/A does this at first when I replaced his stock flywheel to ACT Prolite.

Myh car was doing somthing similar. Whenever I came to a stop, if I didnt apply any gas, the car would stall out. Turned out to be my timing.....

If the flywheel is too light it will loose RPM between shifts and cause you to stall out. That was my first guess but someone beat me to it.

I have a 7lb fidanza flywheel. But I had it last year aswell with my all motor setup and I NEVER had these problems. So, I know its not that......

I have a aftermarket throttle body that is wider aswell, not sure of the size I forgot. So, im not sure what Im going to do about mine, its pissing me off.

Phiz mentioned to me last night that it could be uberdata but he wasn't sure. He couldn't figure it out...

So, im stuck still coming to a stop and hoping that my car doesn't die. But its been like this for a while so i've learned how to accomodate the problem. Its a pain in the *** and im going to do whatever I can to figure it out.

If someone gets an answer to this, please let me know.

mine does that when i mess around with the fuel maps and ignition maps...the only time my car actually dies is when i retard timing too much with not enough fuel or too much fuel.

ever since i got the EMS...i've been doing nothing but messing with it...and it's taught me a lot about how the engine works.

try checking your timing and fuel...what are you using for engine management?
